Letters Patent For Alton Village Association Inc. Dated June 22, 2007
To work collectively to protect and enhance the quality of life, the environment, the character and the community of residents and businesses of Alton Village.
To collect and share information regarding issues, events and developments affecting the residents and businesses of Alton.
To monitor and respond to the policies, procedures and actions of the various governing bodies, councils and committees whose plans, by-laws and decisions may affect the residents and businesses of Alton.
To advocate and initiate on behalf of the membership.
For such other complementary purposes that are not inconsistent with these objects.

The Special Provisions Are:
The corporation shall be carried on without the purpose of gain for it's members, and any profits or other accretions to the corporation shall be used in promoting its objects.
The directors shall serve as such without remuneration and no director shall directly or indirectly receive any profit from their positions as such, provided that the directors may be paid reasonable expenses incurred by them in the performance of heir duties.
To invest the fund of the corporation pursuant to the Trustee Act.
For the above objects, and as incidental and ancillary thereto, to exercise any of the power as prescribed by the Corporation Act, or by any other statutes or laws from the time to time applicable, except where such power is limited by these letters patent.
