Alton Village is a wonderful blend of residential, business and nature. At the heart of our community is water. The purpose of the A.V.A. is to work collectively to protect and enhance the quality of life, the environment and the character of the community of Alton, its residents and businesses.
In 2021 the Town of Caledon launched its new tourism website visitcaledon.ca. It features a visually-based design optimized for mobile devices, and highlights local businesses, destinations and unique experiences.

Alton Mill Arts Centre
CTV Provincewide segment about the restoration of a heritage mill in the village of Alton, near Toronto Canada. Originally a woollen knitting mill, this beautiful stone building has been converted by Jordan and Jeremy Grant to an arts and heritage centre consisting of artist's studios, galleries, cafe, specialty retail, an industrial heritage exhibit and event space. Future plans include installation of a new micro-hydro turbine and conversion of the stone remnants of an outbuilding known as the Annex into a large event hall.
Millcroft Inn
Originally built as a knitting mill in 1881, The Millcroft Inn & Spa has been elaborately renovated to preserve its architectural beauty, and to ensure its guests enjoy an authentic Ontario Inn getaway. For meetings, weddings, spa or getaways, and a restaurant which overlooks the Mill Pond and the shimmering Shaw's Creek Falls.
TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley ~ Golf
Golf for Golfers Osprey Valley features three distinctive 18-hole championship courses designed by acclaimed Canadian architect, Doug Carrick. Located in the picturesque rolling hills of Caledon, it offers a golfing experience as vivid as it is challenging.

- The Alton Village Low Impact Development Marketing Strategy undertaken by the Credit Valley Conservation. Version 1.0, Released May 2014. This marketing strategy was developed to encourage residents to use low impact development (LID) practices on their properties after the Alton Village Study - Environmental Management Report highlighted the need for LID implementation to improve Stormwater Management and help protect Shaw's Creek.
