The roadway remains open with temporary lane closures:
+ Main Street South, North of Beechgrove (around the Southern island) – East side of the roadway remains temporary closed – signals in place; and,
+ Main Street South, between South of Alton Greenhouses and McClellan Road – West side of the roadway remains temporary closed – signals in place.
+ Main Street South, between Station and South of King (at cemetery slope) – West side of the roadway remains temporary closed – signals in place;
In the last two weeks, the Contractor:
o Completed the repairs to the damaged streetlight pole on Phase 1, East of Bridge
o Completed installation of armour stone flower bed at S/W corner of Main and Queen, South of Headwaters Plastic Surgery
o Completed grading, forming and pouring concrete sidewalk along the East side of Main Street, from McClellan to South
o Completed grading, forming and pouring concrete sidewalk along the West side of Main Street, around Alton Greenhouses
o Completed installation of armour stone retaining wall at #19605 Main Street
o Completed forming and pouring final two 10m long sections (#7 and #8) for the retaining wall adjacent to the cemetery
o Continued grading and forming for concrete sidewalk along the West side of Main Street, South of McClellan
o Continued placement of armour stone at median island, North of Beechgrove
o Continued driveways reconstruction
o Commenced masonry work at Gateway monument, on Main Street
o Commenced grading and forming for concrete sidewalk along the North side of McClellan, between Main and Agnes
o Commenced installation of permeable pavers at on-street lay-bys along the West side of Main Street, South of McClellan
o Commenced installation of rest area/Canada Post pad on Main Street, South of McClellan
In the next two weeks, the Contractor will:
o Complete placement of armour stone at median island, North of Beechgrove
o Complete masonry work at Gateway monument, on Main Street
o Complete grading, forming and pouring concrete sidewalk along the North side of McClellan, between Main and Agnes an don Main Street, South of McClellan
o Complete installation of permeable pavers at on-street lay-bys along the West side of Main Street, South of McClellan
o Continue adjustments and repairs to curbs and sidewalks
o Commence and complete backfilling the retaining wall adjacent to the cemetery
o Commence and complete grading, forming and pouring concrete sidewalk along the retaining wall adjacent to the cemetery
o Commence stone work at the retaining wall adjacent to the cemetery
o Commence curbs, walkways and flower beds at the parkette area
