Alton Village Pump Track Opening

8/7/2019

The Alton Village Association along with Lynx and Hare Cycles and the Town of Caledon are pleased to announce that our official opening of the bicycle "pump track" in Alton was a great success on Saturday.

Lots of local families came out to show us their biking skills and meet: Caledon Mayor Allan Thompson, former Regional Councillor Barb Shaughnessy and our current Regional Councillor Ian Sinclair. All were really impressed with Mayor Thompson taking the first demonstration lap and logging an impressive first time run of 1:02.

Track designer; Chris Dewar from Transitions Bike Parks came to join in the fun and handed out t-shirts to some of our best riders. In all, 20 participants enjoyed testing out the track and recording lap times for bragging rights and good fun. Our top 3 competitors are :
1. with a time of 23.63 seconds by Colin from Erin
2. with a time of 32.15 seconds by Silas from Alton
3. with a time of 33.30 seconds by Ivan from Alton

A complete list of results and times can be found at
