The roadway remains open, with temporary lane closures: Main Street South, between Queen and McClellan – East side of the roadway remains temporary closed – signals in place. Contractor will be working most Saturdays, 07:00AM – 4:00PM.
Please note that 2 Pay Duty Officers will be present on Monday, October 21st, from 09:30AM to 9:30PM at Station and Edmund Intersections on Main Street South to assist with traffic control due to Federal Election.
In the last two weeks, the Contractor:
+ Completed installation of storm sewer along the East side of Main Street South, between Queen and Edmund
+ Completed placement of concrete curbs along the East side of Main Street South, between North of Station and McClellan
+ Completed placement of concrete sidewalks along the East side of Main Street South, between Station and McClellan
+ Continued installation of decorative streetlight poles and pulling underground cables, throughout
+ Commenced installation of storm sewer and underground infiltration chambers along the East side of Main Street South, between Edmund and North of Station
+ Commenced construction of parkette area at S/E corner of Main/Queen Intersection
In the next two weeks, the Contractor will:
+ Complete placement of base asphalt along the East side of Main Street South, between North of Station and McClellan
+ Complete installation of storm sewer and underground infiltration chambers along the East side of Main Street South, between Edmund and North of Station
+ Complete construction of amenity/rest areas and armour stone retaining walls along Queen Street East, from Phase 1 to Main/Queen Intersection
+ Complete construction of parkette area at S/E corner of Main/Queen Intersection
+ Complete installation of lattice fence installation at the gas station
+ Complete installation of chain link and decorative fences installations on Queen
+ Complete tree planting on Queen Street East, from train tracks to East of Main/Queen Intersection and on Main Street, from Beechgrove to McClellan
+ Complete placement of top soil
+ Commence forming retaining wall at the cemetery
+ Commence road excavation and granular placement along the East side of Main Street South, between Queen and North of Station
+ Commence installation of storm sewer along the East side of Main Street South, between McClellan and 260m to South
