Update on Queen Street East from the Region of Peel

In the last two weeks, the Contractor:
+ Completed the removal of formwork for the new bridge
+ Completed backfilling the new bridge
+ Completed forming, reinforcement and pouring concrete sidewalks on the new bridge 
+ Completed placement of top soil and planting new trees
+ Commenced forming and reinforcement for approach slabs on the new bridge
+ Continued construction of rest areas: armour stone and permeable pavers, East end of the project
+ Continued installation of decorative streetlight poles and underground, throughout
+ Continued placement of armour stone, top soil and new planting at gateway monument
In the next two weeks, the Contractor will:
+ Complete placement of permeable paver stones at lay-by parking
+ Complete construction of rest areas, East end of the project
+ Complete construction of rest areas, West end of the project
+ Complete installation of street furniture and garbage bins
+ Complete pouring concrete for approach slabs for the new bridge
+ Complete terraseeding and hydroseeding
+ Continue placement of curbs and sidewalks, throughout
+ Continue installation of decorative streetlight poles and underground wire, throughout
+ Commence placement of pattern colour concrete splash pads, throughout
+ Commence forming and placement of structural steel for parapet walls and posts for the new bridge
